DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FROM MERCYLAND MINISTRIES WEDNESDAY 03 FEBRUARY 2021
Topic: Think Long Term
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.”Proverbs 3:7-8, (NASB) New American Standard Bible
MESSAGE: A famous doctor once said, “It is easier to maintain good health than it is to try to regain your health once you’ve lost it.” That’s why it’s so important to take care of your body and consider the long term implications of your health choices. God has great plans for you on this earth, but if your body is worn down; if you are tired all the time and your health is poor, you won’t be able to accomplish what you could otherwise.
Scripture encourages us to take care of our bodies because we are the temple, the dwelling place, of the Holy Spirit. Make wise choices with your health. Stay active and choose organic foods (healthy food). Sow life into your body and reap life today and in the long term.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, today I commit my body, mind and soul to You. Help me to make wise choices with my health so I can live long and fulfill the plan You have for me in Jesus’ name! Amen.”
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS: Eating isn’t just about satisfying hunger. As a Christian you need good, quality food both physically and spiritually to function very well. Physically, balanced diet at the right time in the right proportion. Spiritual foods in terms of Bible study, praise worship, fasting and prayer with adequate fellowship with brethren. The kind of food you eat today is what your body (life) becomes tomorrow. There’s old adage that says: ‘you are what you eat’. Put simply, healthy eating with adequate physical body exercise is the key to wellbeing. We all have up to 100 trillion cells in our bodies, each one demanding a constant supply of daily nutrients in order to function optimally. Good food and body exercise positively affects all of these cells, and by extension, every aspect of our being: mood, energy levels, thinking capacity, sleeping habits and general health. Grace to eat wisely, adequately both physically and spiritually is given to you in Jesus name. You shall enjoy long life in good health in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
