DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FROM MERCYLAND MINISTRIES SATURDAY 27 MARCH 2021.
Topic: Choosing Your Heavenly Heritage.
Today’s Scripture: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel chapter 36 verse 26, (NIV) NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION
Message: Monday 22 March this week, I wrote about “Day Dream”. I narrated a story of how some Christians raised children of poor people, in a very poor environment over a period of many years, to become successful nation builders. All that these Christians did was to speak vision into these children’s lives.
For over two decades of doing ministry around the UK, USA, Africa, Canada and continental Europe, I learned a lot. As rich as the western nations are, some people in these nations are still living poor lives. The fact is, for one reason or the other, we all have negative things to battle with. I know people who were raised in an environment where people have addictions, low self-esteem, depression and poverty. Their parents had issues, and now it’s making things much more difficult. But when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, He gives you a new heart. In other words, your blood line changes. No longer are you subject to your natural family line; you become subject to your godly heritage! His spiritual blessing overrides any curse in the natural realm. This is exactly what I experienced after my conversion.
When you understand who you are and whose you are, then no matter what someone else did or didn’t do, no matter how you were raised and where you were raised, you won’t get bitter. You won’t live with a chip on your shoulder, (wearing an angry look or unpleasant attitude). You realise that nothing can stop you from fulfilling your God-given destiny! Remember, Almighty God breathed life into you. When you choose Him, you are choosing your godly heritage!
Prayer for Today: God in heaven, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus so that I may be saved. Today I surrender every area of my life to You. Have Your way in me; let Your will be done in my life. Thank You for making me new in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration: First Timothy chapter 1 verse 13 says: ” … Paul, who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man, …, but was shown mercy”. Before Bayo Yusuff met the Lord Jesus in 1976, like any other unbeliever, he was horrible. But the story changed immediately I gave my life to Jesus. Second Corinthians chapter 5 versr 17 says: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”. From today, power of new life with glorious destiny shall be yours in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
JESUS SAID: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 (NIV). Are you ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Please give your life to Jesus.
