DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FROM MERCYLAND MINISTRIES WEDNESDAY 26 MAY 2021.
Topic: Reprogram Your Life for Greatness.
*Today’s Scripture:* “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. …” Romans chapter 12 verse 2, (NIV). NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION.
Message: My father grew up in a very poor environment. As I was told by my late mother, both my father’s parents and my mother’s parents were from very poor backgrounds. My father had no money, no education and he died when I was pretty young in 1952. Going by birth and this kind of family backgrounds, I had been programmed with poverty, defeat and mediocrity. I could have settled with all these, because these are all I grew up to know and familiar with. I could have thought, “Hey, this is just my lot in life. We’re just poor, defeated people.” But in 1976, after I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I started reprogramming my thinking in line with the word of God. NEW life emerged! Deep down something said to me, “Bayo, you were made for more than this. You’re not supposed to constantly struggle, to barely make it through life.” I could feel those seeds of greatness, abilities in different directions, stirring on the inside of me. The attitude that says: “This may be where I am (born to poor family), but this is not who I am. I may be in defeat by family backgrounds, but I am not defeated in Christ Jesus. I’m a child of the Most High God.”
Today from personal experience, I’m in good position to say to you, no matter what has happened in your past, remember that ultimately, you can reprogram your life for greatness and become very useful to God. You can let go of the wrong programming of the world, wrong programming of your family, and reprogram your own life. You can renew your mind according to the Word of God. Let His truth sink in so you can rise up into the greatness God has in store for you.
Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that no matter what has happened in my past, You have a good plan for my future. I choose to reprogram my mind with the truth of Your Word that sets me free to live the way You intended in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration: Transformation comes from God. However, He (God) will never force it on you. You have a role to play in the process of reprogramming your life for greatness. You shall receive GRACE to allow God and His Word to change your life for better. Genuine determination to reprogram your life for greatness, reflect and radiate the glory of God, to all around you is released unto you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
