DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FROM MERCYLAND MINISTRIES SATURDAY 29 MAY 2021.
Topic: Grow Your Faith.
Today’s Scripture: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans chapter 10 verse 17, (NKJV). NEW KING JAMES VERSION.
Message: Scripture tells us that every person has been given a measure of faith. Faith can grow and increase, or it can be diminished. Notice today’s scripture doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word of God one time.” It’s by hearing—present tense. Sure, God’s Word can transform us in an instance. But most of the time, we need to hear God’s truth over and over again in order for it to become active in our lives. A ten year old Portuguese boy – Gabriel at our church is involved in daily language translation of the Daily Devotional message into Portuguese. Gabi said: “I don’t know my mum and dad’s phone number off head. But I know the Devotional message phone number off head because I hear it during translation every day”. This confirms the fact that the more we hear the Word of God on daily basis, the more His truth chisels away the doubt and unbelief that’s been built up over the years. We must hear God’s truth repeatedly every day before it can set us free and causes our faith to grow!
Just as a seed needs water daily to grow, your spirit needs the Word of God daily. Your faith needs to be watered by His Word every day. It can be as simple as selecting a few scriptures to meditate on daily. Write them down and carry them in your purse or wallet. Read them out loud over and over. Let His truth sink down into your heart and move you forward into the freedom and victory He has prepared for you!
Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You for Your Word that is living and active and growing in my life. I submit myself to You today and ask You to teach me Your ways. Give me insight into Your Word so that I may know You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Prophetic Declaration: King David was prosperous spiritually and materially. He revealed the secret to us. In Psalm 1 verses 1 to 3, (AMP). AMPLIFIED BIBLE EDITION, the Psalmist said: “Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favoured by God] is the man who … delights in the Word of the LORD. And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season. Its leaf does not wither. And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. Grace to use Psalmist’s method to become prosperous in every area of your life is released unto you. You shall be able to grow your FAITH through the word of God in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
JESUS SAID: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 (NIV). Are you ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Please give your life to Jesus.
