DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FROM MERCYLAND MINISTRIES SUNDAY 27 JUNE 2021.
Topic: Remember What He Has Done.
Today’s Scripture: “Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered…” Psalm 105 verse 5, (ESV). English Standard Version.
Message: Anything can become routine if we let it. Anything can feel mundane after a while. Couple of years ago, I was talking to a professional football player. He has been in the big leagues for years. His life seems so exciting, far from routine, far from ordinary. He said, “No, Pastor Bayo, it’s not what you think. We travel all the time. We’re always on the road, in hotels, eating out and away from our family.”
The truth is that I’m sure he was excited about it all when he first started. There are probably things in your life that you were once excited about. When God opened the door and gave you that new job, that promotion, you were so excited. You called your friends. You knew it was God’s favour. Well, don’t let the passion wear off just because you’ve had it five years! When you met that person and fell in love you were on cloud nine. You knew it was God’s goodness. Don’t take it for granted. Remember what God has done! Stir up the joy in your heart. Stir up praise. Thank God for His faithfulness and let your attitude of gratitude pave the way to live the life of blessing He has for you!
Prayer for Today: Father God, right now I take time to remember and acknowledge Your goodness in my life. I praise You because You are good. Thank You for loving me, thank You for setting me free. Thank You for pouring out Your blessings on me and leading me into everlasting life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration: Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ, Please, Don’t take God’s blessings for granted! Please, Don’t take God’s gifts for granted! Please, Don’t take God’s grace & God’s mercy for granted! King David (the Psalmist) was extraordinary in this regard. He’s ever grateful of God’s blessings. No wonder God called him, “a man after God’s own heart” Psalm of David showed his gratitude towards God, especially Psalms 103:1-5 (NIV). He said: “Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s”. In order to receive more blessings, GRACE to praise God, to thank God and appreciate Him everyday of your life, for His loving-kindness is released unto you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
JESUS SAID: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 (NIV). Are you ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Please give your life to Jesus.
