DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FROM MERCYLAND MINISTRIES TUESDAY 20 JULY 2021.
Topic: Waiting the Right Way.
Today’s Scripture: “…faith without works is dead.” James chapter 2 verse 20, (NKJV). NEW KING JAMES VERSION.
Message: Are you waiting for God to do something in your life? One thing I’ve learned is that waiting should not be a passive thing. When we’re waiting the correct way, we’re on the lookout. We talk like what we are believing for is going to happen. Speak it out loudly. Use creative power of the word to bring it to reality. Act as if it’s going to happen or is already happening. When we take all these actions, we’re making preparations for the miracle.
It’s just like when you’re expecting someone for dinner; you don’t wait until they show up before you decide to start cooking. Most likely you start early in the day. You make sure the house is clean, you go to the grocery store, and maybe buy some flowers for the table decoration. You make preparations because you’re expecting someone. Well, that’s the attitude we need to have while we’re waiting for God’s promises to come to pass. As you put actions behind your prayers, your faith comes alive and opens the door for God to move mightily on your behalf.
Prayer for Today: “Father, I choose to put actions behind my faith today. I trust that You are at work in my life. I will wait the right way—with expectancy knowing that You are leading me into the path You have for me in Jesus’ name! Amen.”
Prophetic Declaration: Heaven expects Christians to demonstrate confidence in God. This comes through their actions of faith. Time of waiting for answered prayer is always a painful period. We all need endurance and divine confidence in waiting the right way for God to answer our prayers. That’s the reason why the scripture in the book of Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1 (NIV) says: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”. You shall receive divine confidence that will empower you to make positive confession of your situation and expectations. You shall receive divine ability to use creative power in the word of God, and create something out of nothing with assurance in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
JESUS SAID: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 (NIV). Are you ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Please give your life to Jesus.
