Topic: You Are an Example.
Today’s Scripture: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew chapter 5 verse 16, (ESV). English Standard Version.
Message: You are God’s representative in this earth. When you follow the Word of God and allow Him to work in your life, you are letting your light shine. When you are good to people and show them kindness, even when they don’t deserve it, you are shining your light. When you smile and keep a good attitude, even when things don’t go your way, you are setting an example so that people will glorify God in heaven.
Notice this Scripture says, “they will see your good works.” People aren’t impressed by our knowledge or what we say; people are drawn to God by our good works. Today, ask the Lord to show you ways to share His goodness with others. Look for opportunities to let your light shine everywhere you go—at home, at work, in the grocery store, at the gym, at Market place. There’s always an opportunity to be an example of God’s goodness!
Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for choosing me to be Your representative. Show me how to let my light shine. Help me be an example of Your love and grace everywhere I go in Jesus’ name. Amen
Prophetic Declaration: In Second Corinthians chapter 3 verses 2 and 3 (AMPC), Apostle Paul tells Christians: “You yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in your hearts, to be known (perceived, recognized) and read by everybody. You show and make obvious that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts”. You shall receive more grace to show goodness of God to people, not only by words of mouth, but through good works. As you present yourself as living letter of the Almighty God, for people to see and admire the beauty, the glory and goodness of God, the presence and blessing of Almighty God shall never diminish in your life in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
JESUS SAID: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 (NIV). Are you ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Please give your life to Jesus.
