Topic: Wise Men Still Seek Him.
Today’s Scripture: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Proverbs chapter 9 verse 10, (NIV). New International Version.
Message: We’re still in the Christmas festive mood, we therefore need to dig deeper into the lessons that the story of birth of Jesus has come to offer us. After Jesus was born, the Bible tells us in Matthew chapter two that Wise Men came from the East to bow before Him and worship Him. They went to great lengths just to get a glimpse of the Child and traveled a long distance for many months, following the star. When they saw Him, they were so overwhelmed. The scripture says they fell on their faces to honour and worship Him. Are you among the wise people of today? How you honour and worship Jesus Christ will tell.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. That means that we should have a reverential honour and respect for Jesus —just like the Wise Men did. We are wise when we set everything else in life aside in order to seek Him. We are wise when we worship Him and give Him everything that we are. We are wise when we take time to honour Him. Remember, God is a rewarder of the people who diligently seek after Him. As you continue to put Jesus first in all you do, you’ll increase in wisdom and discernment, and you’ll move forward into the life of blessing He has in store for you.
Prayer for Today: Father in heaven, today I choose wisdom by choosing to honour You. I put You first in my heart, my mind, my emotions and my actions. Show me Your ways that I may walk with You and acknowledge You in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration: Seeking, serving and honouring Jesus shouldn’t be a thing of Christmas period only. It should be a thing of every day of your entire life. Grace to put Jesus Christ on like a garment, all the days of your life is given to you. Ability to reflect His personality in your emotions, in your actions and in all you do everyday is given to you. As you allow people to see the beauty of Christ in your life, His blessings, His favour and goodness shall not diminish in your life, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
