Topic: Honour the Lord with Your Body.
Today’s Scripture: “You were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body.” First Corinthians chapter 6 verse 20, (NLT). New Living Translation.
Message: Scripture says that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honour the Lord with our bodies. How do you do that? You take care of it. You respect it. You treat it as valuable. You use your body to bring Him glory. When you stand strong against temptation, you are honouring the Lord with your body. When you take care of yourself by eating properly and getting enough sleep, you are honouring the Lord with your body.
You are saying, “Lord, thank You for this gift of life. I am choosing to take care of myself so that I can serve You with my whole heart, mind and strength.” As we enter into the new year, many people make new goals about their health. Let this be an encouragement to you to stay on track with good habits. As you honour the Lord with your body, you will be strengthened and empowered by His peace. You’ll be able to stand against temptation and embrace the good things He has in store for you!
Prayer for Today: Father, today I choose to honour You with my body. Thank You for the gift of life. Thank You for empowering me against temptation. Show Your plan for me today so that I can glorify You in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen
Prophetic Declaration: The greatest gift is gift of being alive till today, (the last day of the year 2022). What you permit to enter your body in terms of what you eat, what you drink or smoke determines your health status. Your attitude to this shows how precious you treat this gift of God (your body). In the new year, divine wisdom to treat your body nicely with good diets and exercise shall be yours. Self discipline to honour the Lord with quality time for prayer and word of God shall be yours.
Your body only needs good food, plenty of water, body exercise and prescribed medication by your doctors. Grace to abstain from all other unnecessary things that destroy your body and dishonour God is given to you. You shall not die any premature death in the year 2023 in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
