Topic: Are you feeling threatened?

Today’s Scripture: “When they had prayed, the place…was shaken.” Acts chapter 4 verse 31, (NASB). New American Standard Bible.

Message: Are you in an intimidating situation? If so, notice four things that Jesus disciples did in today’s scripture when they were persecuted and felt threatened by the religious authorities of their day. (1) They brought God into the picture. In verse 29 they said: “Lord, behold their threatening”. Have you talked to the Lord about that issue? If it’s not big enough to be a prayer, it’s too small to be a burden! God should be the first person you discuss it with, not the last. Prayer is the door through which God enters your situation, so be sure you invite Him in. (2) They prayed for greater faith. “Grant… to your servants…boldness” in verse 29. It’s unrealistic to think all your questions will be answered and all your fears within a day will disappear. Faith and fear will always be at work in your life. To be an overcomer, you must learn to starve your fear and feed your faith on God’s Word. (3) Jesus disciples expected God to intervene. In verse 30, they cried out: “God, … stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through…. Jesus.” Don’t just sit in the seat of ‘do-nothing’ and expect God to move. Go on the offensive. (4) They were filled with the Holy Spirit. Verse 31 says: “When they had prayed…they were all filled with the Holy Spirit”. There’s the key! They were strengthened and energised by God’s power – you can be too.

Prayer for Today: Lord, God I thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit that will give me boldness and power to overcome the enemy. Give me more confidence and wisdom to be victorious in any battle that threatens my life. Amen.

Prophetic Declaration: Through today’s message, spiritual enablement to starve your fear and feed your faith with the Word of God is released to you. Holy Spirit will take control of your life, and you shall no longer be a victim but a victor in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

JESUS SAID: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 (NIV). Are you ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Please give your life to Jesus.
