Topic: Enjoy the Journey.
Today’s Scripture: “But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” Proverbs chapter 4 verse 18, (ESV). English Standard Version.
Message: Two sets of people that makes journey to heaven are: (1) those that permits wisdom to make them enjoy the journey while on earth. (2) those that permits worry and anxiety (needless pains) to devastate them, but determined to endure till the end of the journey. Oftentimes, people tend to get wrapped up and busy with things that don’t really matter in eternity. It’s easy to get consumed by your career and stay focused on your goals. It’s good to work hard, but wisdom tells us that: “you’ve got to learn how to play hard too”. Doing so would make you stay balanced. I heard somebody say, “It’s not that life is so short, it’s that we wait so long to begin living wisely.” If we want to truly enjoy the journey of life, we have to take time to stop and smell the roses. Pay attention to little things that can give joy and happiness. Do you show appreciation to the people you love? Do you hug your children, wife, husband before you leave home and when you return each day, and give your spouse a kiss? When was the last time you called your parents to tell them how much you love them? That’s how we can enjoy the journey. If you’ll stay determined to enjoy the journey of life, you’ll live with no regrets. Don’t allow regrets, mistakes of the past to devastate you. If regrets of the past mistakes are not allowed to devastate you, you’ll see your path shine brighter and brighter, and at the end, you’ll be able to say, “I made the most of my life. I enjoyed my family. I enjoyed my friends. I finished my course with joy.”
Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Teach me to enjoy my relationships more because they are all that matter in eternity. Help me to enjoy the journey of life as my path shines brighter and brighter until the full day in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Prophetic Declaration: Wisdom to live your Christian life and enjoy the abundant life that Christ has come to offer you is released to you. Getting yourself busy with things that don’t really matter in eternity is like majoring in the minor. This shall no longer be your portion. Wisdom to live successful Christian life, as if you live your heaven on earth is released to you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
JESUS SAID: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 (NIV). Are you ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Please give your life to Jesus.
