Topic: Honour the Lord with Your Body.
Today’s Scripture: “You were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body.” First Corinthians chapter 6 verse 20, (NLT). New Living Translation.
Message: Scripture says that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honour the Lord with our bodies. How do you do that? You take care of it. You respect it. You treat it as valuable. You use your body to bring Him glory. When you stand strong against temptation, you are honouring the Lord with your body. When you take care of yourself by eating properly and getting enough sleep, you are honouring the Lord with your body. You are saying, “Lord, thank You for this gift of life. I am choosing to take care of myself so that I can serve You with my whole heart, mind and strength.” As we enter into the new year, many people make new goals about their health. Let this be an encouragement to you to stay on track with good habits. As you honour the Lord with your body, you will be strengthened and empowered by His peace. You’ll be able to stand against temptation and embrace the good things He has in store for you!
Prayer for Today: Father, today I choose to honour You with my body. Thank You for the gift of life. Thank You for empowering me against temptation. Show me Your plan for me today so that I can glorify You in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen
Prophetic Declaration: The greatest gift is gift of being alive till today. What you permit to enter your body in terms of what you eat, drink or smoke determines how precious you treat this gift of God-your body. Wisdom and self discipline to honour the Lord by taking good care of your body in the year 2024 are yours. You shall receive enabling power to abstain from things that destroy your body. You will not die any premature death in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
