Topic: Take Your Seat.
Today’s Scripture: But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Hebrews chapter 10 verse 12, (ESV). English Standard Version.
Message: The Old Testament priests had to go into the temple over and over again to make sacrifices for the people’s sins. There were no seats in the temple for them to sit down because another sacrifice was always required. But when Jesus was crucified, He said, “It is finished,” meaning the old way of having to constantly offer sacrifices for forgiveness has come to an end. His sitting down at God’s right hand is a picture of perfect rest. The apostle Paul tells the beauty of it: “We are seated with Christ in heavenly places.” There is a seat of rest that belongs to you. You don’t have to go through life constantly trying to make up for past mistakes or being upset about your problems. Do yourself a favour and take your seat. Enter into that peace and rest. When you sit down, God will stand up and go to work. That’s why He says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”
Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that the battle before me today is not mine but Yours. I could be worried and upset, but I’m going to take my seat and live from a place of rest. I believe that You are bigger than any problem and You have this covered. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Prophetic Declaration: After Jesus Christ completed your redemption work at Calvary, His sitting down at God’s right hand is a picture of perfect rest. The spiritual implication is: “While you’re here on earth, at the same time, you’re comfortably seated with Christ in the heavenly.” The assurance of joy and victory from Christ shall be yours. The conviction and reality of heavenly peace in you, as you’re already spiritually seated in the heavenly with Christ shall be dawn on you. Constantly trying to make up for past mistakes, getting upset all the times, being worried about your past problems, and majoring in the minor issues of life shall no longer be your portion. Faith with wisdom that will enable you to permit God to fight your battles for you, so as to enjoy God’s peace and have perfect rest shall be yours in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
