DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FROM MERCYLAND MINISTRIES FRIDAY 16 APRIL 2021.
Topic: Reign in Life.
Today’s Scripture: “For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favour), and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself], reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” Romans chapter 5 verse 17, (AMP). AMPLIFIED BIBLE EDITION.
Message: It says here in Romans chapter 5 verse 17, “We are to reign in life as kings.” When God looks at us, He doesn’t see us in weak, defeated, leftover positions. Not at all. God sees you and me as rulers, as royalty. We have His royal blood flowing through our veins. You and I are supposed to reign. Do you know what that word “reign” means? It means “your time in power.” God said we’re to reign “in life.” That means as long as you’re alive, that is your time in power. You don’t have a two-year term like the Mayor or a four-year term like the President. Your term is to rule and reign every single day, to be victorious, to rise to new levels, to accomplish great things.
Everyone has days when they don’t feel like royalty, they don’t feel powerful. On those days, if you can just remember to reach down and check your pulse, and as long as you feel something beating, you can say, “It’s still my time to reign!” Let that be a reminder to put on a new attitude. Sometimes you have to do this by faith. By faith you need to walk like a king, talk like a king, think like a king, dress like a king, smile like a king. Don’t go by what you see. Go by what you know. There is royalty in your DNA. You have the blood of a champion, and you were created to reign in life!
Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I choose right now to set my mind and focus on You. I choose to look for what You want to do in and through me. I let go of any wrong thinking, attitudes, or actions that would hold me back. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration: We carry the blood of Jesus in our veins as Christians. “Jesus Royalhood DNA” is inside of us! Our era of reigning with Jesus doesn’t end here on earth, it’s a continuous exercise till we’re in eternity with Jesus, to live with Him for ever and ever. That’s why it’s dangerous for any Christian to permit sin of any kind to separate him or her from the love of Christ. Lord Jesus can appear any time to take us home. You shall not relegate yourself to ordinary person, because of lack of material possessions, lack of education or position in the society. You shall receive divine wisdom not to go by what you see, not to measure your eternal worth by what you have here on earth. You shall receive power with new attitude that will give you enablement to spend heavenly currency “FAITH”. With “FAITH”, you shall be able to purchase and possess what the strongest earthly currency cannot buy. Earthly hard currency can buy big mansion with good bed, but it cannot buy peace of mind with good sleep. The peace and joy of the Lord that money cannot buy shall be yours through faith and by faith in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
