Topic: Get Your Joy Back!
Today’s Scripture: First Thessalonians chapter 5 verses 16 to18, (NLT) NEW LIVING TRANSLATION: “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus”.
Message: Did you know that it’s God’s will for you to be joyful always? No matter your situation, no matter your circumstance, God wants you to be happy and carefree. He wants you to love your life no matter what you’re going through. Your circumstances are in the hands of God, not in your hands. In fact, when you have joy in the midst of difficult circumstances, it’s the evidence that you have faith and trust that God is going to bring you through.
God’s supernatural joy is strength. When you have His joy, you can stand strong no matter what’s going on around you. You might say, “Bayo, I’m just not a real jovial person. I’m more serious. I never laugh much.” I realize God made us all differently, but you can train yourself to laugh more. I read where the average child laughs over 200 times a day, but the average adult only laughs 4 times a day. What happened? We’ve allowed the pressures of life, stress and responsibilities to steal our joy.
Make the decision today to get your joy back. Decide that you are going to look beyond your problems and look to God to see you through. Ask Him every day to fill you with His supernatural peace and joy so that you can live in His strength and victory all the days of your life!
Prayer for Today: Father, I humbly receive Your Word today. I choose to open my heart to You and invite You to fill me with Your joy and strength. Thank You for showing me Your goodness and empowering me with Your grace. I bless You today and always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration: In the book of Nehemiah chapter 8 verses 9 and 10, Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest said to the people: *”… Do not mourn or weep.” … “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, … Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”* Nehemiah 8:9-10 (NIV). Nehemiah and Ezra were telling the remnant of Israel who has returned to Judah to rebuild the city and its temple to permit joy to change their lives for better. It was a time of restoration, not only of the ruined city. Grace to use joy and laughter to bring restoration to your situation is given to you in Jesus name. “Strength” in Hebrew word means “a place of safety, a place of protection, a place of refuge , or stronghold.” In the mighty name of Jesus, “The joy of the Lord” that brings presence of the Almighty God shall put protection, safety and refuge to your spirit, soul and body. You shall get your joy back in full in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
JESUS SAID: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 (NIV). Are you ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Please give your life to Jesus.
