Topic: Get Your Hopes Up.

Today’s Scripture: “For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope.” Galatians chapter 5 verse 5, (NIV). New International Version.

Message: What are you expecting in life—good things? Big things? Little things? Anything at all? God wants you to get your hopes up! Living Hope is the name of a Christian hospital in a city called Ile-Ife, an historical ancient city in Nigeria. The name of this hospital suggests that there’s a living faith, and there’s a dead faith. It’s only the living faith that you “GET UP or WAKE UP”, not one that’s is dead. Faith and hope works hand in hand. The Bible says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for.” One definition of hope is confident expectancy. Did you know that you can’t even have faith if you don’t first have hope? Your expectations set the limits for your life. If you never expect anything good, you’re never going to receive anything good. If you don’t expect things to get better, then nothing will get better. God promises to meet you at your level of expectancy. That’s why Jesus said in Matthew chapter 9 verse 29: “… According to your faith be it done to you.” One translation simply says, “Have what your faith expects.”

Prayer for Today: God, I want to grow in my faith this year 2024. I believe that You want the best for me. Help me learn to expect to be blessed and to face challenges with the confidence that You will see me through. In Jesus’ name – Amen.

Prophetic Declaration: Living faith shall be your portion. Ability to make good decision of expecting the favour of God in your life is released to you! Great expectations to overcome every challenge of life, great anticipation that God will meet all of your needs are released to you. You shall be a winner and not a looser in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
